Having good knife techniques in a kitchen is an important skill to have and can be easily taught in a knife skills course. In this video, Chef Mark Dowling demonstrates different types of knife cuts, and proper care and handling of knives. He will also explain and show how to sharpen your knives by using a sharpening stone and honing steel. During this demo you will learn about the French knife, paring knife and vegetable peeler.

To really hone your knife skills it will take practice. With that being said, grab your vegetables and knives to follow along with Chef Mark as he demonstrates cuts on zucchini squash, red peppers, celery, carrots and onions.
