In this video, Chef Mark Dowling with Escoffier Online explains the importance of why a Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts student should have a chef portfolio. A culinary or pastry portfolio shows the body of work that a student has done. Having a portfolio is great to show potential employers you want to make an impression on. Not only does Chef Mark recommend having photos of the dishes you have created, but also to include any articles written or social media mentions about you. It is also important to include comments from a mentor that has critiqued your work.
