Student Spotlight: Terri Luthe
Meet Terri who is a current Pastry Arts student with Escoffier Online Culinary Academy. We hope you enjoy hearing her story!
I have always had a love for cooking. My family was vegetarians for my first 15 years so I was always learning from my mother and would turn to her to come up with new ideas. As far as pastry cooking, that too was inherited. I think my grandmother had the only store in the 1940s and she would make hundreds of breads and pastries, it was a sight to see and to be a part of.
I have long desired to be able to improve my baking abilities so after doing some research I found Escoffier Online. I liked the curriculum and was impressed by the cost too. The Chefs and mentors were my biggest reason for picking this school because they are more than helpful. I have a true passion for making cakes and like to make all my own fondant and gum paste as I make my own flowers. Since I’ve began Escoffier Online I am now working on some catering of my own.
If you want to get a certificate from home and want the true feeling of a classroom then Escoffier Online is the very best! I really feel like being in class when I am on the site.
