In this video, Escoffier Online’s Chef Mark Dowling demonstrates how to make white wine sangria. Sangria is one of the best summer cocktails to keep your party guest refresh on a hot summer day. The great thing about sangria is it is easy to make and you can experiment with all different types of flavors. With that being said, you’ll be sure to find many recipes that your guests will enjoy. Try starting out with Chef Mark’s white wine sangria recipe!

White Wine Sangria Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Bottle of white wine (Riesling, Chablis, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, or Sauvignon Blanc)
2/3 cup white sugar
3 oranges (sliced) or may substitute 1 cup of orange juice
1 lemon (sliced) seeds removed
1 lime (sliced) seeds removed
2 oz. brandy (optional)
1/2 liter of ginger ale or club soda

Method:

  1. Pour wine in a pitcher and squeeze the juice from the orange, lemon and lime into the wine, add brandy if desired.
  2. Toss in the fruit wedges and add sugar. Stir well. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale or club soda just before serving.
  3. To serve right away, use chilled white wine and serve over plenty of ice. Other fruit can be used is season, Peaches, Strawberries, Plums.
