Rumor has it that chef Gordon Ramsay, star of “Hell’s Kitchen,” and David Beckham, soccer star turned celebrity, may be joining forces in the restaurant industry in the U.S. They already have plans to open Union Street Cafe in the U.K., which will begin serving delicious meals in September. According to Grub Street, the two moguls have been asked by Steve Wynn, owner of the Wynn resort in Las Vegas, to open a sports bar and grill together. Beckham announced last week that he would retire from his soccer career, leaving him ample time to learn cooking online and brush up on the restaurant business.

Ramsay and Beckham are known to be good friends and Beckham noted that he enjoys cooking. He said that the restaurant will be a business venture, but fun at the same time. Planning to spend more time in Britain after leaving the L.A. Galaxy team, Beckham will open the new U.K. restaurant in the Borough neighborhood of London.

“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” Beckham told The Sun. “I’ve always loved cooking. I’d love to cook for Gordon and I definitely will one day.”
