Breaded Calamari Recipe
Serves 2

3.5oz Calamari tube
2 tsp Soy sauce
2.65oz Lemon
1oz Flour
1 Egg
2oz Breadcrumbs
1oz Desiccated coconut


Preparation Steps:
1. Pre-heat the deep fryer to 350°F
2. Cut the calamari into rings
3. Season and marinate with the soy sauce and the juice of the lemon
4. Draw the calamari through the flour, then the egg wash, then the mixture of breadcrumbs
and coconut. Place in a single layer on greaseproof paper

Cooking Steps:
1. Deep-fry at 350°F for 1-3 minutes

1. Place the calamari onto a pre-warmed plate and garnish as desired

Hint: The longer you fry calamari, the tougher it gets. Cook small amounts at a time to prevent
the oil from cooling too much
