Meet Regional Chefs At Edible Escape In Marble Falls

Get a chance to meet regional chefs and winemakers at Edible Escape 2013, held at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls, Texas, September 29 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Events like this help supplement a culinary arts program with real-world food education. Attendees can wear their best cowboy boots and other authentic Texan clothing to this waterside picnic.

There will be a full-lineup of activities and entertainment during the day. Chef Jack Gilmore and artisan Sebastien Caillabet with both be hosting food demonstrations. Also, learn about regional varietals at the Texas Winemakers Panel.

The event will offer food, wine and cocktail tastings by various restaurants and shops. Some of the places include: The Turtle Restaurant, Veldhuizen Cheese, Otto’s German Bistro, Tipsy Texan and Pedernales Cellars.

For those donning their best Texas gear, a cowboy boot contest will be held with prizes for the winners. Also, swing dancing lessons will be offered by Go Dance.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for $35 and general admission is $45 through Eventbrite. Some of the proceeds from this event will benefit The Helping Center Food Bank. The organization feeds people living in the Highland Lakes area.
