Student News: eBooks For Baking And Pastry

As a benefit of enrollment in the Escoffier Online program, our students are granted free access eBooks of the course. These eBooks cover the same content as your online course, but without the interactive lessons or assessments; instead, the eBooks are laid out like a traditional textbook, great for reference on your computer or printed out as a hard copy.

As of this writing, the first two courses of Baking and Pastry are now available in eBook form! These files are being posted as they are completed, so some of the eBooks for the third and fourth courses are already available, and the rest should be available soon. To access the eBooks, you’ll need to first download the Locklizard PDF viewer. The eBooks are actually .pdc files, which are secure .pdf files, so you’ll need this special viewer to use them. The instructions for downloading can be found when you click on the “eBooks” page under “Resources” on the right side of the student portal.

Next, you’ll need to install your license file, which you should have received by email from This file should be titled something like “Your_Name.llv” and you can double click on the file in your email to run it. Once you’ve followed these steps, you can download the files on the eBooks page and view them at your leisure. You’ll be able to print each files three times.
