Who Tastes The Food I Prepare?

One of the most popular questions we receive is, “how are assessments critiqued if a chef instructor is unable to taste the food?” You will taste your own food. The chef instructor will guide you through developing your own flavor palate, one of the most important tools a chef needs. If you are opposed to tasting your cooking assessments, friends and family can critique and give you feedback for when you fill out your self-assessment for the assignment.

Just like an onsite campus, the chef instructor is not going to walk around and taste all students’ dishes. He or she will judge visually on appearance and technique.
